RESPIRATOR FOR ATHLETES - OAKLEY MSK3 AOO0036AC-100
Like some other well-known brands that started producing face masks during the coronavirus crisis, Oakley also decided to include this product in its range. But it wouldn't be Oakley if it didn't offer something extra.
The mask labeled MSK3 has been designed from the beginning with the needs of athletes and active people in mind. However, this does not prevent it from being used by ordinary people who do not actively play sports. Because the main advantage that Oakley presents is its ergonomic, fully adjustable shape around the nose. which is supposed to prevent glasses from fogging. which is the main drawback of using ordinary masks and respirators, especially in the winter months.
The mask itself consists of several parts and several materials are used for its production. The principle is that the mask itself can be used for a longer period of time. while you only replace the filter inserts inside.
The filter insert here is double and consists of a basic part. which is used for normal respiratory use and a second filter. which can separate significantly smaller particles up to 0.3 microns in size. Coronavirus particles are usually smaller. it is reported. that their size is from 0.06 to 0.14 microns. however, they are always associated with something much larger. such as water vapor. droplets. or mucus and therefore a similar filter should capture them in most cases.
Oakley does not provide any medical certificate for its masks. However, the fact that the filtration here works down to 0.3 microns corresponds on paper to the level of N95 or FFP2 respirators.
The actual construction of the mask is based on flexible silicone. which can adapt to your face but also ensures. that the mask keeps its shape even with more intense breathing and does not tend to collapse and move uncontrollably. Very important here is the specially shaped nose bridge. which can be shaped so. to exactly copy the shape of your nose and thus prevent fogging of glasses. which, by the way, sit exactly on this silicone nosepiece.
● 43% Polyester/ 43% Melt-blown/ 14% Silicon
