The Oakley Elite Special Forces SI Assault Boot is a particularly lightweight combat boot and specifically designed for military use. Therefore, this boot intentionally has no eyelets for laces. which can inadvertently get caught. and there are no metal parts. which would make it optimal for EOD. The laces are made of Nomex with aramid. The extremely durable rubber outsole offers a secure grip on any terrain with its special design. The shock-absorbing properties are gentle on the joints. The boot is padded inside with moisture-wicking micro-mesh. Critical areas of the heel and heel have an additional protective layer of abrasion-resistant urethane.
